My name is Brian Pace the host and producer of The Pace Report. Fifteen years ago I moved to Harlem, New York to begin a new phase of my life. to work in television and radio via, CBS, NPR, and Radio-One. In 2008 the print and broadcasting world was becoming digital and I as journalist had to change with the times. Many of the print and radio outlets were dying to the new mobile and wireless divide.
I started The Pace Report as a way to give the artists and musicians a platform to communicate their ideas, present their upcoming and new work, as well as give viewers an opportunity to seek some inspiration from the artist community.15 years I’ve interviewed and produced close to 800 segments on UA-cam and Vimeo and still building a viewer base. At TPR I’ve covered Rhythm and Blues, the Blues, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.
I’ve on social media via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I look forward to keeping the spirit of the music and arts alive and hope you continue to support and watch.

Educator, historian, and saxophonist James Carter paid tribute to legendary saxophonist Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis with a special set "Lookin' at Lock: The Music of Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis" featuring Gerald Gibbs on piano, Hilliard Greene on bass, Kahil Kwame Bell on drums, and Satish Robertson on trumpet. Davis was one of Soul Jazz's progenitors and one of the pioneering architects of the "tenor sax battles". In this segment, Pace and James Carter reflect on Mr. Davis's musical legacy and discuss the next generation of musicians playing and studying Black American Music.

I'm going to see Bill Parker on Friday...in Houston. I saw him with the Cookers a few years ago in Albuquerque. A bunch of septuagenerians blew the doors off of the venue.
People say that Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil. He wrote a song called “Hell hound on my trail”, I personally feel that he was not talking about the devil but racist white people.
